For a third year running, TLC Healthcare (TLC) has been recognised in the 2018 Australian Business Awards as an Employer of Choice. For the first time TLC is also an ABA100 Winner for its innovative ‘TLC Privileges’ product in the New Product Innovation category. In 2016 TLC was a ABA100 Winner for Brand Excellence, and again for Service Excellence in 2017. TLC Aged Care The Heights, located in Donvale, recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of its opening with a family fun day. The residents, their family and friends, staff, and supporters came together to celebrate this milestone in the history of the home. Since opening in June 2013, The Heights has been providing aged care to the elderly of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, and the local community turned out to help them celebrate.

Bess was surrounded by family, friends, the residents and staff of The Heights to celebrate her milestone birthday with a ‘bucket list tick’. For a long time Bess has wanted to dance on a table, and the team at The Heights came up with a novel way to make that happen.
Margaret Boyd recently celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family and friends at TLC Aged Care Homewood in Hallam. When seeing the large crowd gathered to celebrate her milestone, Margaret said, “If you do all this for the naughty girls I can only imagine what you do for the good girls!”

High-rise residential aged care has been discussed in the industry for many years, with several retirement living developments integrating aged care services. But to date, few are dedicated to residential aged care. The construction of TLC Aged Care’s 10-storey facility on the fringe of the Melbourne CBD is changing that.
